Day 4 in Minnesota

Aloha everyone. Mom is doing much better today, although she is still in a lot of pain. She was transferred from ICU to a semi-private room and hopefully will be in a private room in the next day or two. She had a good night in ICU but was happy to get out of there. One of her nurses was an intern from the University of Hawaii. What a small world. As usual, she has everyone smiling in the hospital. She is an awesome woman.

Tomorrow we meet with the doctor again at 9am. We are praying for more good news. The Mayo Clinic has been great throughout this ordeal. They are specialists in everything that they do. And the food is good too. Mom actually ate a little today. Can you believe that she has room service from 7am to 7pm? Only at the Mayo.

Keep the emails coming. All emails to jessiesamfong@gmail.com will be printed and given to mom daily. If you rather send a written note, they can be sent to:

Jessie Sam-Fong
c/o Fiksdal Hotel, Room 608
1215 SW Second Street
Rochester, MN 55902

Again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We have a ways to go so your continued prayers are greatly appreciated. Take care and God bless.

  1. Hi, Jessie, Hearing good news about your progress and praying all will go well with the rest of your procedures. Please don't rush coming home. Take good care and heal right first. Heard about Dad's upcoming surgery and also Nicole's (Nickey). I know when you get back you'll want to take care of everyone else. So get well real good first. Maybe you'll come sit at my table and be my guest for Hoe Down.
